Hard work: Keep an eye on work and work until reach the goal.
Smart work: Keep an eye on work and build the strategy that finds what are the possible way to reach the goal then work for the way.

Hard work: (More physical effort and less mental effort)
Pros: Gain knowledge in all small bits of topic, success is sure
Cons: In deadline(limit duration) situation hard work, not success always ,more effort, feel frustration, time taking , upgrading position is slower

Smart work: (More mental effort and less physical effort)
Pros: Deadline task is always successful, less effort, less time consuming, upgrading position is faster
Cons: Gets knowledge in selected topic

P.S. Although, there is hard work behind every smart work.

I could be explained with an example.

If a hard worker is given an axe and Is asked to cut the tree he would give his best and try to cut the tree with his sheer power.

Whereas a smart worker would first spend some time to sharp his axe then would go for cutting the tree.

Hi friends, in my point of view,

Hard work is complete a given task or anything in a particular time by some physical effect and sacrifices something but smart work means converts that hard work into an easy work by some logical tricks.

Smart work is a strategically planned work. As in looking out on a path to give us a result and then following that path to accomplish it.

Hard work is working rigorously but it's not always sure to give you the required results.

Hard work means doing work in the potential and very dedicated manner it is a little bit time consuming.

Smart work means doing work in a very effective manner and also complete the task and work in less time.

Let's take an example there are 2 students in their exam time one read the whole book the topic which is important or not.

And the 2nd learn only those topic which is important.

In result time 2nd student marks are little more than the 1st one.

This is called doing work in less time but in an effective manner.

The person should have the quality of both hard work and smart work . So, that they can do every task or work successfully.

I can give one example.

Any one can give some hours to cut the tree we cut the tree without showing sharpness of axe and can do it it is a hardwork.

And we gave a most of hour to sharp the axe and after we cut tree and strike axe with some angle it is combination of both.

And without hard work we can't teach that type of tricks.
